Wildfire Celebrates Local Art – 2025 Artist Showcase
Wildfire is proud to support local artists, and in 2025 we are excited to display a selection of their work throughout the clubhouse. Each piece is unique and thoughtfully chosen to reflect the character and natural beauty of our surroundings. We hope these works enhance the atmosphere and provide an inspiring experience for our members and guests.
Featured Artists
Megan Ward
Megan Ward is a landscape and still life painter based in Peterborough, Ontario. She graduated from OCAD University in 2012 with a BFA in Drawing & Painting, completing her final year of study in Italy through the Florence Program at OCADU’s studios. Megan is an elected member of the Colour and Form Society and has taught community painting classes in portraiture and abstraction.
Working primarily in oils, Megan blends representational and abstract techniques to explore themes of seasonality, mood, and the symbolic rhythms of nature. For her, creating art is akin to tending a garden—an act of devotion that fosters well-being. The painting process provides a retreat from the demands of everyday life, while her subjects evoke the restorative qualities of scenic landscapes and botanical elements.
Her work at Wildfire reflects these inspirations, capturing moments of quiet reflection and natural beauty that resonate deeply with the club’s setting.

Jenny Kastner
Jenny Kastner is a multidisciplinary artist and illustrator whose work blends organic forms with fine detail. Her art is inspired by the place she calls home — a dynamic meeting point in Ontario where the granite of the Canadian Shield meets the limestone of the Lowlands, known as The Land Between. Gestural and graphic in nature, her paintings explore landscapes as portals to deep, imagined, and nostalgic connections to place and the subconscious.
Jenny combines memory, photography, video, and sketching to create compositions that reimagine nature through a lens of magical realism. She works from her studio where Clear Lake and Stoney Lake meet, drawing daily inspiration from the surrounding landscape and the whimsical worldview of her young sons. Winters spent road-tripping and surfing with her family in Costa Rica further expand her aesthetic and creative insight.
Her work has been featured on internationally acclaimed arts and culture platforms including Booooooom and My Modern Met, as well as in publications such as Dwell, Les idées de ma maison, and Our Homes Magazine. Jenny’s paintings are part of private collections across Canada, the U.S., and abroad, including France, the U.K., South Africa, Barbados, Costa Rica, and Australia.
